Describe the automatic content deleting and purging process.

In the standard configuration, automatic content deleting is performed by expiration rules that change the spikeCode or run expiration workflow on all the folders, belonging to the specified partitio.

All the errors related to deleting are shown in the background tasks log.

Note

An error may be related to the impossibility to delete items that are referenced by other items. For example, an image that resides in a folder to which is applied the expiration rule of 10 days, cannot be deleted because it is referenced by an article residing in another folder to which is applied a longer expiration rule.

This is not a malfunctioning of the GN4 system - you need to adjust the data flow on your system, e.g. keep the images referenced by articles in the same folder.
