Articles/images deadlines

Deadlines on page elements (articles and images) are absolute times (because they can be shared between different editions).

Deadlines can be set manually (editing the header of an element) or automatically. A Boolean flag will tell if the date has been set manually or automatically. An automatic deadline is calculated using configuration that's title dependent, basically the relative times stories/images/articles must be ready before the page deadline. An element that is not connected can only have a manual deadline.

A deadline is set automatically on articles and images when:

1.An article/image is being linked/assigned and it does not have a manual deadline and it is not linked/assigned to a page that has a closer deadline than the one to be set.
2.The deadline of an edition or of a  page changes and the article/image does not have a manual deadline and the article/image is not linked/assigned to a page that has a closer deadline than the one to be set.
3.When an article/image is unlinked/unassigned from a page, the deadline can be reset if it was not manual and if it is not linked/assigned to other edition elements.

The deadline of a linked article/image on page is set as the closest deadline of the pages/editions it is connected/assigned to, minus a configurable amount of time.

The automatic deadline for articles is calculated as the first in time between all article texts automatic deadlines, as long as a article manual deadline is not set.

Article deadlines are equal for all the regions.
