You can select for an article/image deadline two alternatives:

•To auto-calculate it, as the difference between edition deadline, the plate gap, the page gap, and the type gap (edition deadline - plate gap - page gap - type gap).

If it is auto-calculated, and if your edition deadline is 03-May-2012 on 03:00, your plate gap is 50 minutes, your page gap is 20 minutes, and your type gap is 15 minutes, your element deadline will be 03-May-2012 on 01:35. If you shift the edition deadline, or change the plate gap, or the page gap, or you change the element type, its deadline will be shifted too for the same amount of time.

We recommend to use auto-calculated deadlines rather than manually entered deadlines.

•To manually enter a date/time value.

If you enter the date/time deadline for element, the auto-calculated values are not displayed, nor taken into consideration, until you delete the manual deadline (i.e. enter a blank value for it).
