Create or edit security scope

To create a new Security scope

1.Run EdAdmin4, and then in the Security section, click Security Scopes.

2.On the Action menu, click New.

3.On the New Security Scope dialog box, in Name, enter an unique name for the new scope.

4.In Description, enter an optional description of the new scope.

5.In Access Permissions, select who can access it and with which permissions.

6.In Partition, select a partitions assigned to the security scope, or leave it as not set.

7.In Params definition, add parameters to be common to this security scope.

To edit an existing Security Scope

1.Run EdAdmin4, and then in the Security section, click Security Scopes.

2.Double-click the scope to edit.

3.On the Edit Security Scope dialog box, in Name, enter an unique name for the scope. Do not rename Default and HR scopes.

4.In Description, enter an optional description of the scope.

5.In Access Permissions, select who can access it and with which permissions.

6.In Partition, select a partitions assigned to the security scope, or leave it as not set.

7.In Params definition, add parameters to be common to this security scope.

Note

You need to have the Default permission to create and edit security scopes.
