Main lexicon for the specific language

A main spelling lexicon for the specific language is required, and spell checking won't work without it.

The main lexicons are to be deployed on a GN4 workstation in the same directory where the GN4 applications are, usually \TERA\BIN. See Deploying main and supplemental lexicons.

More main lexicons for different languages can be installed on the same workstation. Eg. you can have at the same time spell checker for Italian, British English and American English.

The main lexicon is a binary file, usually provided on the installation. Main lexicons are typically provided by Wintertree as already compiled. Custom main lexicons can be created by compiling a word list with the spell checker compiler. See Compiling main lexicons for further information.

Compiled lexicons cannot be modified by the end users, or the systems administrator.
