You may want to choose whether a simple new article dialog should appear on page when you press CTRL+N, or when you click Articles > New Article, or you prefer a new article dialog with more fields.

On the General subtab of the Extra tab on the Preferences dialog box, tick Simple New Article Dialog as Default.
