You may want to change the default GlobalConfig settings (..\config\Global\GlobalConfig.xml) to something more suitable for your site.

These are UsersFolderPath and BigPoints

•UsersFolderPath by default is the "/system/users", and that is the root below which all the personal folders are created when you create a new user. You may want to change it to /Users to avoid that the users have to dig on two levels to find their private folder.

•BigPoints by default is false, that means that the GN4 measurements in pt will be incompatible with Xpress or InDesign default measurement, that is in "big points". You may want to set it to True for all new GN4 installations.

•For the explanation of the properties, look at comments in the GlobalConfig file itself.

•Default values for measurement (DefHorzMis and DefMis) in versions 1.6 and 2.0 since build 1762 are changed to pt. They were cm and in respectively in all builds of versions 1.3, 1.4 and 1.5 and also in builds prior to 1762 in versions 1.6. and 2.0.

IMPORTANT: To make these changes available to the GN4 users, after you saved the GLOBALCONFIG.XML file and imported it into the database, or after you modified it in EdAdmin4 and saved, recycle the GN4 application pools on all IIS servers and then make all users log out and log back in.
