To change the pasteboard size in the Layout Manager dialog box

On the Edit menu, select Preferences and then on the Layout tab, under Pasteboard size, in Horizontal and Vertical enter what you want. change the pasteboard size.

Note: you can enter a percentage, e.g. 15%, or an absolute value. A percentage will automatically adjust the pasteboard size to any page size, while the absolute value won't.

For tight pasteboards use percentage values of 10% for horizontal and vertical. To get more space to place objects, increase the horizontal and/or vertical value. 200% will give you a quite huge pasteboard.

To change the pasteboard size by means of the Layout toolbar

3        Increase the pasteboard width. Hold SHIFT when clicking, to decrease width.

4        Increase the pasteboard height. Hold SHIFT when clicking, to decrease height.

6        Set pasteboard to 10% more of the page size.
