GN4 displays search results as various lists (with more or less fields and different level of details) or as a grid of thumbnails (sometimes combined with list data) in various sizes. Such view modes are called directory styles.
A directory style defines how results are displayed. More precisely:
•Display form, e.g. a list, or a grid.
•List of displayed columns or content of a grid cell.
•Available sort orders.
•Icons that appear in the results listing
•Filter for results (only in GN4 browser).
Every search result has own series of directory styles. You can add more directory styles, or change existing.
