Tasks are scheduled using either the cmd4 interface directly or from within a workflow.

The cmd4 commands: schedpublish and schedwf are used to schedule a publish operation or a workflow respectively.

For details, type cmd4 ? schedpublish or cmd4 ? schedwf at the GN4\bin command prompt.

Note about dates

If on 21-Jan-2017 you schedule a Back4 task for 25-Jan-2017 to start at 00:50 and repeating daily, you would expect that if doesn't start before 25-Jan, but it gets scheduled for the first available date, i.e.  for 22-Jan.

For recurring tasks, (‘Daily’ or ‘Weekly’), the start date is ignored and only the time part is used. The start date (intended as day) is used only by tasks of the ‘One Time’ kind.
