Articles with a local geometry

An article may have a local geometry, i.e. can be created from an article template with geometry, or it can contain a single column geometry. Such article can be pulled onto a page, maintaining its geometry.

When you unlink an article from a page, you can let it keep the geometry as local. To do it, in Fred4, on the Articles menu, point to Link, and then click Unlink and keep geometry.

Articles without geometry

Articles without geometry do not contain any frames. You cannot copy fit such articles, not bring them into a measure.

When you unlink an article from a page, or simply delete it, and then save or close a page, the geometry is removed from the article.
