There are the following prerequisites, related to ads.

•Place ads on one or more ads layers. IMPORTANT: APM does not support ads on the editorial layer.

•The space used by ads must be predictable, i.e. must correspond to an APM object library. Otherwise, such pages will remain empty, as APM will not be able to find any shape for such unpredictable Editorial Hole.

•If you are using an ads plan import, the ads plan must be imported before any APM run. If you are placing ads manually, all the ads (either placeholder or the real ads images) must be placed on pages, designated for APM, before any APM run. This is because the APM calculates the empty space on page based on the actual space occupation.

•If the ads plan changes after you've already run the APM, and the changes affect the APM pages, you need to remove all the APM content and repaginate again.
