Fred4, unlike some other pagination packages, does not require, but supports, a special image box to import a image to.

Thus, a image can be imported 'as-such', without any 'container'. To place a image on a page without any image box, on the Images menu, select Insert and then select a image to place - it is placed in its original size.

To place a image placeholder on a page, on the Toolbox click the image placeholder icon, and then drag on the page over area to cover by the placeholder and release the mouse button. To convert such placeholder in a dummy image, click the Link tool on the Toolbox (an article has to be current for this to work). To replace such placeholder with a image, keep it selected, and then on the Images menu, select Insert, select a image to place, and then select resizing or cropping method - the placeholder is replaced by the selected image. To link such image to an article, click the Link tool on the Toolbox.
