Your profile represents a set of data about you: your user name, your full name, your email address, your description, the password and the password recovery data, the subscriptions to notifications and the personal parameters, including home folder.

Depending on your permissions, you can review and/or change those data.

Technical note

The user profile dialog box is defined in the SHELL4_CONFIG.XML, under myProfile object UI. If you are an administrator, you can add or remove fields to this dialog.
