Back4 is a GN4 service that performs functions related to background task processing. Specifically, it can do the following:

•Execute a task that has been scheduled by cmd4 to publish or unpublish objects

•Execute a task that has been scheduled by cmd4 to run a workflow

•Execute a workflow which has been scheduled by a workflow activity

•Monitor a watch folder(s) and execute a workflow for each file that appears in the folder

•Monitor a POP3 or IMAP email address(es) and execute a workflow for each email that arrives at that address
