About articles selection

Build 1501 on 14/Nov/2017  This topic last edited on: 6/Mar/2017, at 11:00

On each page, for each logical group, APM processes all available articles and identifies the candidates.

For the current logical group, one-by-one article is processed as follows:

APM links temporarily the article to the current LG.

APM applies the optional auto-formatting.

For all the text elements of the article, the text overmatter is then measured.

If the content is not fitting to the available space, either being too short or too long, the fitting is applied to the content, and optionally to the shape as well.

After the content fitting is complete, the text overmatter is measured again.

oIf the text is still too long or too short, but within the number of lines, specified in the preferences, it get accepted for the page. Otherwise, the article is rejected and another article among candidates is tried.

oAfter all the candidates have been processed but no article was accepted, and the shape replacement is enabled, the shape is replaced with another, and the selection process restarts.
